HDLH

“HOW DOES LEARNING HAPPEN? ONTARIO'S PEDAGOGY FOR THE EARLY YEARS (2014)” (HDLH) guides our licensed child care program and we offer a learning program that is consistent with the Ministry of Education policies, pedagogy and curriculum

Supplies

Rich open-ended materials for children to manipulate and explore are provided to home providers.

Hands-on activities

Through a variety of daily experiences and with the guidance of our trained home child care providers, EQUIA Licenced Home Child Care fosters the child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual development using the four foundations of HDLH (belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression). We provide learning opportunities both indoors and outdoors.

Fees

Ontario signed a historic child care agreement with the Government of Canada to make licensed child care more affordable for families. Through the Canada-Wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) system, fees for eligible children under the age of six enrolled in participating licensed programs have already been reduced by an average of 52.75% from 2022 levels. As of January 1, 2025, parent fees are capped at $22 per day, with Ontario continuing to work toward an average fee of $10 per day.

We have childcare spaces available and are also looking for Providers to join our team!
